Why Dartshift exists.

The idea started while watching an online darts league on Twitch. The community was active, the matches were real, and Discord worked well for communication. But the admin still had to answer the same questions: when is my next game, who do I play, where is the table?

The trigger was watching a streamer-led darts community on Twitch. A community admin was managing multiple darts leagues, and players kept asking the same things: “When is my next game?” and “Against whom do I need to play?” Nobody directly asked for a tool at first. Niels started building it, and then provided more and more to the admin.

Discord is good for conversation. It is not the best place to keep the official league record. Dartshift was built to sit next to Discord: the community talks there, the league lives here. Discord should continue to be the place where the community talks.

I wanted a clear, simple solution for a problem that was being solved with too much manual work. I wanted to build something that helps admins instead of giving them more work. I did not want to give admins another complicated tool. I wanted to remove the parts of league management that should already be handled by the system.

I thought there had to be an easier, quicker way to run a league with no fuzz.

Dartshift was built by Niels, a darts player, community member, and builder who saw the problem. I have played E-Dart in the DSAB C and B leagues, spent years playing steeldart, used Dartsmind for 1v1 games, and later moved into Autodarts with cameras and 3D printed holders. I like playing darts, watching darts on Twitch, following the darts world championship every year, and following the communities that keep the sport alive online.

Dartshift is still early, but the direction is clear: to become the clearest, most trusted way for darts communities to run leagues. A serious, focused league tool for communities that want less manual work and a cleaner way to run their seasons.
